The objective of this mission is functional test of communication antenna deployment mechanism
developed for TITech CubeSat CUTE-I. CUTE-I has 430MHz band CW-transmitter, 430MHz band FM-transmitter and
140MHz band receiver. Thus three deployable monopole antennas are equipped. These antennas are fixed to structure
of CUTE-I by Nylon line.

Nylon line attached to the tip of communicaton antenna is fixed like in left figure. Nichrome wire is
winded in a spiral and nylon line is threaded into it.

Nichrome wire is heated turning on an electrical current to nichrome wier

Nylon line is melted and cut off, afterward communication antenna is deployed by own elasticity
|
Therefor we load these components into TITech CarrierSat and conduct functional test of this mechanism during
CarrierSat operating parasailling mission.
