Objective


 The purpose of vibration test is to check what electric devices and structure in CUTE-I are not broken by the vibration at a launch.
Concretely,it is checking the tolerance over the vibration environment about following four.

(1) CUTE-I structure is hold by the separation mechanism
(2) The Electric devices in CUTE-I

(3) The Deployment mechanism (anntena, paddle)
(4) The Circuit to receive the separation signal from the rocket

 

Test & Result


From 2001 to 2003 we performed vibration test several times.
Each year we performed modal vibration test to check the vibration characteristic, and harmonic and random vibration test
in vibration environment at a launch.

The attachment position of the acceleration sensors is the following figure.
Moreover two sensors to control and reference is atatted in the base.

 

And we performed test in X, Y and Z axis, and the result of a Z-axis random vibration test is shown as a representative here.

 In all check items, the oscillating tolerance was checked from the examination result, we make sure that CUTE-I
and separation system can stand the vibration environment at a launch.
